Admission Process

Follow these simple steps to complete your admission to Raghunath Jha Degree College.

Check Eligibility

Obtain Prospectus

Collect the college prospectus from the admission office or download it from the website. Read all instructions carefully before filling the form.

Submit Application

Fill in the admission form and submit it along with the required documents and application fee within the stipulated date.

Merit List & Counseling

Check the website for merit lists. Shortlisted candidates will be called for counseling and document verification at the college.

Confirm Admission

Pay the admission fee to confirm your seat and complete the enrollment process. Obtain your college ID and report to your department.

Eligibility Criteria

Admission dates are determined by Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar Bihar University (BRABU) and notified by the college. Students should check the official college notice board, website, and the BRABU website regularly for updated deadlines.

Admissions are merit-based — i.e., based on marks obtained in the 10+2 qualifying examination. There is currently no separate entrance test. Selection is as per the merit list published by the college following BRABU guidelines.

Please contact the college administration directly for information about hostel availability. Outstation students are advised to enquire at the time of admission about accommodation options in and around Sitamarhi.

Subject combination changes may be permissible within the first few days of admission, subject to seat availability and university regulations. Students must approach the academic section with their request promptly.

Scholarship applications are processed through the Bihar Scholarship portal (scholarships.gov.in) and other central government portals. The college provides assistance to eligible students. Visit the office or the Students page for more details.

Students must maintain a minimum of 75% attendance in each subject to be eligible for the semester examinations, as per BRABU norms. Attendance is recorded and reviewed periodically by the college.
